Description

Wheely Fun!

This ride-on critter features a bright, friendly piglet design with soft, pink ears that are sure to delight. It has a padded body to ensure your child can play comfortably for hours, and is entirely multidirectional: allowing your child to move about however they please while strengthening legs and motor skills.

Unlike other Ride-on Toys

A disadvantage of most ride-on toys is the fact that, unlike the Wheely Bug, they are not on castors. Therefore, inferior ride-ons are more likely to get stuck when faced with an obstacle. Not so with the Wheely Bug. Aside from its cute, adorable image, the castors are its best feature. Wheely Bugs can move in any direction - forwards, backwards, sideways, round and round. They allow the Wheely Bug to spin at 360 degrees, making escape from a tight space easy

Great for Wooden and Laminate Flooring
It is on these types of surfaces that the Wheely Bug is in its element. It is also great on tiled floors. However, whilst it will still work on carpeted floors, the Wheely Bug will never reach its full potential. It is also an indoor toy - its wheel are simply not geared (nor are they meant to be) towards outdoor use.

Excellent Quality
The Wheely Bug screams quality. It is stylish and very well made. It is made from high quality components and has won multiple awards. The spongy seat is comfortable and made from pvc-free polyurethane leathroid. This means that it is very easy to wipe clean. The base is made from plantation grown poplar plywood and the handle is aluminium. The feelers are produced from stainless steel springs and are practically impossible to pull out. Younger children will enjoy watching them spring back and forth.
In fact, the Wheely Bug is so robust it is hard to imagine a child being able to break it at all. Wheely Bugs have a long life span. When the plastic cars and trikes are cracked, worn and broken, the superior Wheely Bug will still be going strong. It will last and last for all your children and beyond.

Maintenance + Instructions

A wipe down of the covering with diluted Eucalyptus oil ( 10 parts water to one part Eucalyptus oil ) on a regular basis helps keep the PU covering pliable. Regularly clean casters from hair or other debris to ensure smooth running. Handle bolts should be checked for fastness regularly.

Use outdoors: Any smooth, flat surface is suitable. However keep them away from dirt or sand as this can get into the castors and slow them down. Also do not leave the toy outside in the rain or direct sunshine for long periods as this can damage the surfaces.

Use on pavements: They will run on pavements provided the surface is smooth and without impediments. The  castors may become damaged in time and/or wear out more rapidly.

Use on carpets: Obviously it is slower going on carpet, but your child will get a good work out!

We all know how quickly laughter can turn into tears if a plaything does not stand up to the use it was intended for.
Of course Wheely Bugs adhere to the compulsory Safety Testing requirements for every country we sell to, so we regularly have the entire range tested to EN71 (Europe), ASTM/ CPSC (U.S.A.), AS/NZS ISO (Australia and New Zealand)... standards by a reputable Testing  Lab. During these tests the Wheely Bug has to prove it will not tip over, ignite or smolder, have bits break off or become unstable during foreseeable use and abuse! All materials are tested for migration of elements i.e. no harmful chemicals are present and /or accessible to little hands and mouths. These include; to name a few well known substances such as lead, phthalates or formaldehyde but the list of elements tested is very long.

This however is still not enough for us, we also have every batch of covering material and ink tested for harmful
chemicals. In addition our factory conducts an incoming material quality control as well as quality inspections at each and every production phase.
