Meet the Glo Pals, water-activated light-up sensory toys for the bath. Our Pals and bath light cubes will transform your tub into a new kind of adventure.

Perfect for sensory play, water play and bath time! Put them in water and watch them light up. Then shake them off, dry and place on side. Each pack comes with 4 light-up cubes. 

The Glo Pals come in six vibrant colors, each with its own unique character name and personality. There are four of each character in a pack. Pippa glows green, Alex glows yellow, Lumi glows purple, Sammy glows red, and Blair glows blue.

It’s me—Pippa! My friends sometimes call me “pipsqueak,” because I am the smallest of my pals, but I know that great things come in small packages. My glasses help me to see small things like words in a book — my very favorite thing! Well, my second favorite thing…right after playing with you!

It is very important that the Glo Pals are removed from liquid and dried when not in use. Typically, removing the pals from liquid, giving them a quick shake, and setting them out to dry will help increase the lifespan of the pals.

Each cube lasts a minimum of 16 lighted hours (not including when dry) and around 30 days on average. To conserve battery life, make sure to fully dry cubes after each use (shake off, dry and place on side).

Batteries are not replaceable (for safety reasons) but the pals are recyclable.

FAQ

How long do they last?
Each individual Glo Pal lasts a minimum of sixteen lighted hours. What this means is that the product automatically turns on when placed in the bath, and automatically turns off when the bath is drained. Only the time that the product is lighted will count against the battery life. On average, a Glo Pal should last for a minimum of 30 days. We do encourage you to read the “storage” question below to further increase longevity.

Are the batteries replaceable?
They are not. To meet applicable USA safety standards, the batteries are sealed to minimize the risk of a choking hazard. To us, safety is by far the most important - and we want to make sure your child is safe with our product. Even though the batteries are not replaceable, the pals are recyclable. A Glo Pal lasts for 4-6 weeks on average.

How do I dispose of the cubes?
The Glo Pal Light Up Cubes are recyclable, and we encourage you to recycle whenever possible. The Glo Pal Light Up Cubes are considered electronic waste and should be recycled at a proper e-waste facility. Typically, anywhere that recycles batteries, specifically coin cell batteries, will take the Glo Pal Light Up Cubes.

My Glo Pal cube won't turn off?
If you notice that your Glo Pal Light Up Cube doesn't turn off when removed from liquid, try these things:
Blow into the slots located directly above and below the face of the Glo Pal. The liquid sensor is located inside of this cavity and blowing though here should help it to dry.
Leave the Glo Pal Light Up Cube on its side after it turns off. This lets residual fluid run off of the Glo Pal.
If the Glo Pal Light Up Cube still does not turn off, please check to see if there seems to be fluid in the battery compartment.

My Glo Pal cube won't turn on?
If your Glo Pal Light Up Cube doesn't turn on, please make sure you're putting it in liquid containing ions. For example, bottled water typically does not contain ions and Glo Pal Light Up Cubes typically will not work in bottled or distilled water. If your Glo Pal Light Up Cube worked previously but is no longer lighting up, there is a high likelihood that the Pal was not dried properly and stayed on overnight.

Safety

Are Glo Pals Safe?

Yes! The technology behind the Glo Pals has been extensively tested and sold all over the world. These products have been independently tested by laboratories in the United States to meet all applicable standards for children ages 3 and up. Because of the size of the Glo Pals, the product is intended for children 3 and up.

The Glo Pals are tested to meet Australian & New Zealand standards for ages 3+ years. Keep out of reach of children under 3 years or any individuals who have a tendency to place objects in their mouth. They do contain small coin cell batteries which can cause serious injuries if swallowed or placed inside any part of the body, however the Glo Pals are sealed for safety reasons so they should not be accessible to any child.

Shipping

Little Whimsy is an online store based on Auckland’s North Shore. Orders are packed and dispatched from our Hillcrest warehouse.

We aim to dispatch orders within 3 business days, although dispatch may take longer during busy periods, new releases, Christmas and major sales. You’ll receive a shipping confirmation email with tracking once your order has been packed and collected by the courier.

 

New Zealand shipping

We ship New Zealand-wide.

  • Free NZ shipping on orders over $200
  • $9 flat rate shipping for orders $199.99 and under
  • $14 rural delivery for orders $199.99 and under
  • Some large or bulky items may have an oversize shipping surcharge, which will be shown at checkout where applicable

Most New Zealand orders arrive within 3–5 business days from dispatch, although rural addresses and busy courier periods may take longer.

Please note that delivery timeframes are estimates only and may be affected by courier delays, weather events, public holidays or high-volume periods.

Once your order has been packed, you’ll receive a shipping confirmation email with your tracking details.

Tracking may take up to 1 business day to update after your parcel has been collected and scanned by the courier.

 

Click & collect

Click & collect is available from our Hillcrest warehouse on Auckland’s North Shore.

Pickups are available: Monday and Wednesday, 10am–2pm

Please wait until you receive your collection email before coming in, as this means your order has been packed and is ready to collect. Our warehouse is not open for browsing, and orders cannot be collected before you receive your pickup confirmation.

 

Delivery address changes

Please check your delivery address carefully before placing your order.

If you notice an address error, contact us as soon as possible. If your order has not yet been packed or collected by the courier, we’ll do our best to update it.

Once an order has been dispatched, we are unable to change the delivery address from our end. You may be able to request a redirect directly through the courier, depending on the service used.

Authority to leave

If you choose authority to leave or request that your parcel is left without a signature, this is at your own risk.

Little Whimsy is not responsible for parcels that are marked as delivered by the courier but are lost, stolen or damaged after being left at the delivery address.

 

Australian shipping

We ship to Australia, with rates shown at checkout based on your cart and delivery address.

Australian parcels are sent with tracking. Once your parcel arrives in Australia, tracking and delivery are handled by the local postal or courier service.

Any customs charges, duties, taxes or import fees are the responsibility of the customer.

 

International shipping

We ship to many international destinations, with available rates shown at checkout depending on your cart and delivery country.

International delivery times vary by destination and service selected. Parcels may also be delayed by customs processing or local postal services.

Bulky or oversized items

Some large, heavy or bulky items may incur additional shipping charges.

Sale and busy period dispatch

During major sales, Christmas, new releases or especially busy periods, dispatch may take longer than usual.

We pack orders as quickly as possible in the order they are received and are unable to prioritise individual orders during these periods.
