The perfect pool for your child

When the temperatures rise and the sun shines brightly, there’s nothing better than a refreshing pool in the garden for your little one. We understand how important it is to find the perfect pool that’s not only safe and fun, but also suits your child’s wants and needs. But with so many different options, it can be hard to decide which pool is best.

Safety first

When choosing a pool for your child, safety is of course paramount. Therefore, pay attention to the following points:

  • Sturdiness: Choose a pool made of sturdy material that can withstand a beating.
  • Rim height: A low rim height is ideal for the little ones, so that they can easily get in and out of the pool.
  • Anti-slip bottom: An anti-slip bottom reduces the risk of slipping.
  • Dimensions: Consider the available space in your garden and ensure there is enough room to move safely around the pool.

The right size

The age and number of children who will use the pool are important factors in choosing the right size.

  • Babies and toddlers: For these little ones, a small, shallow pool is best. Think of an inflatable pool with a diameter of about 60 to 100 cm and a depth of 10 to 20 cm.
  • Toddlers: For children aged 3 to 6, a slightly larger pool is suitable. Pools with a diameter of 120 to 200 cm and a depth of 20 to 40 cm are perfect. They have enough space to play and splash around!
  • Older children: For older children larger above ground pools or inflatable pools from 200 cm or more.

Extras for even more fun

To complete the swimming fun, you can complement the pool with fun accessories:

  • Fun items: Think goggles, diving toys, sprinklers, beach balls etc which will make your swimming pool complete!
  • Shade cloth or parasol: Protect your child from the bright sun with a shade cloth or parasol.
  • Pool cover: A cover keeps the pool clean when not in use and allows you to use the water for longer.

Maintenance and care

A clean pool is a safe pool! Don't forget to regularly change the water and clean the pool. In addition, special pool cleaners and nets can help remove dirt and leaves.
